Kelm Power Systems in Texas City, TX

Serving Texas City

Texas City sits on Galveston Bay, protected in part by its hurricane levee system. Homes range from older neighborhoods near the bay to newer developments inland.

Kelm Power Systems provides standby generator installation, service, maintenance and monitoring for homeowners in Texas City. We’re a local, family-run part of Kelm Home Services, based in Santa Fe, and the licenses behind the work are held by owner Clint Kelm: TECL #21849, TMEL #510665, RMPL #41051, RRC LP-Gas #EXE-0016376.

What to know about Texas City homes

• Salt air and wind are hard on outdoor equipment, so placement, mounting and regular maintenance are especially important here.
• Older homes sometimes need panel work before a transfer switch can be installed. We evaluate that during sizing.
• Where flood exposure is a concern, we look at raising the generator on an elevated stand, as you can see in many of Kelm’s own install photos.

Permits and inspections

Depending on where your home is, permits and inspections in the Texas City area are handled by the city or by Galveston County. We’ll tell you what your project needs and take care of it.
